National Program “Support for Educational Mediators and Social Workers”

The program is funded for the period from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.

Schools hire social workers or educational mediators to support interaction with the parents of students from vulnerable groups by:

  • Organizing and implementing activities to ensure regular school attendance and full participation of students in the educational process.
  • Assisting in the enrollment and retention of students who are subject to compulsory education.
  • Conducting individual meetings with parents of students from vulnerable groups to motivate and fully integrate students into the educational environment, considering their specific age-related characteristics and needs.
  • Organizing parental lectures and group discussions to enhance knowledge of educational rights and responsibilities.
  • Facilitating mutual understanding among students from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, fostering an atmosphere of tolerance and respect for children’s rights.
